I am a director from London. My recent short film, CONTRACTOR 014352, starring Johnny Flynn and Daniel Ings premiered at Palm Springs Shortfest before going on to win Best European Film at Brest Film Festival, Best Screenplay at the Lift-Off Global Awards and winning Grand Jury Prize at Kinematic Shorts in Russia. It since sold to Canal+ for international broadcast. My first film, THE ELEVATOR PITCH, was a finalist of Sundance London, saw me nominated for IMdB's Best New Filmmaker, and received a Vimeo Staff Pick following its online release.
My recent music videos for Johnny Flynn were described as “beautiful” by The Independent, “stunning” by Clash Magazine, and as “cathartic release” by The Sunday Times. One was described by NPR as a “...powerful statement on public perceptions in the age of fake news”.
Additionally I have devised and directed several site-specific live productions with partners including Southwark Council, Hackney Council, Turner Contemporary, Old Vic New Voices and Somerset House. My work is ambitious, interactive and has strong community involvement throughout the process. I aim to make performance that combines disciplines, with a collaborative spirit that permeates every aspect.
My work is wryly comedic and gently political with a unique mix of the domestic and the epic.
