I am an award-winning director and scriptwriter, passionate about storytelling.
I’ve spent more than a decade creating work that is tender, funny, and gently political. Walking the line between drama and comedy, I combine the pulp of genre with domesticity and empathy to tell stories about connections, communities, nature and the imagination.
Alongside a busy slate of projects, my first feature film as writer and director, OUT THERE, is a comedy-drama developed with the BFI and Ffilm Cymru Wales and set for production in 2024. My shorts have had over a hundred festival selections, including Chicago International and Palm Springs Shortfest. Titles include Sundance London-nominated THE ELEVATOR PITCH, CONTRACTOR 014352, which screened on Canal+ in 150 countries, and BAFTA long-listed THE PLUNGE.
Following my degree in Screenwriting from UEA, I honed my voice creating stop-motion animations for the BBC, music videos for major US/UK labels and social impact films with millions of views. I've directed several Arts Council England funded immersive live experiences and I co-run STAGE 21, an initiative dedicated to increasing on-screen representation for disabled actors.
Born and living in London, I have Dutch, Canadian, and Welsh heritage.
